Bostik Moisture Seal Kit – 10L

NOTE: If installing over tiles or a glossy surface, you can either use this kit OR a mechanical floor grinder (approx $380/weekend to hire through your local hire shop) to etch the surface prior to trowelling down the timber adhesive. If your subfloor is too smooth, the timber adhesive has the potential to delaminate from the subfloor over time (the adhesive needs a rough surface to grip to).

Bostik Moisture Seal is a two part, water-based, epoxy moisture and vapour barrier for priming under flooring adhesives and waterproofing membranes. Its moisture and vapour barrier formulation prevents water seepage and permeation in building and construction substrates.

Features:

• 40 – 50 m2 per 10L pale (1 Coat)
• Accepts a wide range of coverings
• Excellent bond to a range of substrates
• Easy 1:1 mixing ratio (by volume)
• Conforms to ASTM E96 water vapour transmission (negative pressure) tests
• Approved for direct contact with potable (drinking) water (AS4020:2005)
• Withstands hydrostatic water pressure up to 25m or 250kPa

• Structural plywood (Type A Stamped “PAA JAS-ANZ” to AS/NZS 2269-2004) substrates.
• Ideal applications include walls and floors, water storage tanks and reservoirs or swimming pools.
• Moisture Seal is a perfect concrete primer sealer before waterproofing or tile adhesive is applied.

Specifications:

• 2 part kit, pre-packed and ready to mix with an easy 1:1 mixing ratio
• Compatible with a wide range of coverings including the Bostik Ultraset flooring adhesives and Dampfix waterproofing ranges.
• Product will remain useable for 12 Months when stored unmixed, off the ground in a cool, dry and weatherproof environment.
• Store between 5-35°C.
